New music heading your way this evening via Guadalajara, Mexico’s Franky Fresco–and although we’re about as close to the border as you can get, we rarely see any tuneage from south of Tucson– who knows, maybe this is the start of something great.
Fresco‘s still flying under the web’s metaphorical radar, but his 2011 has been far from uneventful seeing both the release of his debut EP El Silencio Loco (which hit beatport thanks to Cherry Liquid Recordings) and a full length album deal with Swedish imprint Basspistol.
Now Fresco‘s back in the studio working on his sophomore EP, The Adventures of Wisdom and Thrill slated for a release sometime after the New Year. Your first peak at the new material is the EP’s self-titled track, and although it’s listed as dubstep, that description isn’t very cut and dry. By mixing 80s-sounding synths, a nice dose of bass (nothing over the top) and some great chord progression Fresco’s latest original makes for an engaging bass experience.
