There’s a new, uniquely voiced, acoustic mastermind in town, and his name is Reuben Hollebon. Remember the name. This guy is going places fast, and his debut album, Clutch is just the slice of singer/songwriter acoustic rock heaven that we’ve been waiting for.
Having listened to a handful of the album’s seven offerings, we can confidently say that the influences Hollebon has listed (Elliot Smith and Godspeed You Black Emperor for example) undoubtedly influence his sound and message, yet the final product is undeniably unique and has us feeling quite awe-struck.
Simple melodies, organic sound effects and Hollebon‘s emotion filled vocals are the perfect storm for anyone craving a profound and melancholy listening experience. Enough said.
